Al Mercato

The weather has been dreary all week—ice storms blanket the Midwest, clouds linger all day. I need to go to the grocery store to buy food for the weekend. Fortunately, I enjoy going to grocery stores and markets. I like to hang out in the produce section of the store among all the ripe fruit, colorful vegetables and fresh herbs. Somehow they always put me in a wonderful state of mind and transport me to a happy place regardless of the weather outside. Maybe they just remind me of the beautiful markets in Italy…
