If you don't know what they are, here is the story....

In 1964 the Buon RIcordo union of restaurants was founded in Italy. The foundation had discovered a unique way of promoting and preserving the values of Italian regional cuisine by offering whimsical painted souvenir plates. The plates provide a Buon RIcordo (or literally translated "good memory") of the various member restaurants. Every plate represents the culinary specialty of each member restaurant and today these plates are collected by people all over the world.
