Kate the Blacksmith

I have talented friends. What would I do without them? On a buying trip to Italy I found this wonderful Italian antique wooded grate. I thought it was a beautiful object and decided a good way to display it was to use it as the top for a small coffee table. My friend Kate is a blacksmith and made the most perfect base from some of my notes and a sketch of the overall look I was after. Her ironwork is beautiful and how she constructed the base could alone be considered a work of art. A piece of glass to make the top functional and the table turned out great. Hopefully it will find a good home soon. Thanks Kate.
