Store Event- Sarah Dunant booksigning for SACRED HEARTS

We are really looking forward to Sarah Dunant’s 2nd visit to our store on July 27th at 1:00 PM. Sarah is the International Bestselling Author of THE BIRTH OF VENUS and IN THE COMPANY OF THE COURTESAN which have received major acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic.

Sarah Dunant’s new novel SACRED HEARTS (Random House; July on sale) set in Renaissance Italy, is a suspenseful, dramatic story about a 16-year-old girl who has just been admitted to a convent against her will. By the second half of the sixteenth century, dowries had risen so sharply that most Italian noble families could not afford to marry off more than one daughter. The remaining young women were dispatched -- for a much lesser price -- to convents.

This will be a special afternoon. Sarah will visit and discuss her new book SACRED HEARTS. There will be delicious Italian food to enjoy and just like the last time she was here, we will all be left thinking…how does she write like that? Sarah spent time doing research in a convent for this story. Sarah has two daughters and lives in London, England and Florence, Italy.
